NOTICE OF VACANCY - PEORIA COUNTY RESIDENT CIRCUIT JUDGE

Current Peoria County Resident Circuit Judge Jodi Hoos has submitted her letter of resignation, effective at the end of business on September 1, 2019. Judge Hoos will be missed as she was a steady force of even-handed justice in the Tenth Circuit, mainly occupying one of Peoria’s civil law jury courtrooms.  We wish her well in her return to the Peoria County State’s Attorney’s office, this time as State’s Attorney.

Illinois Supreme Court Justice Thomas L. Kilbride has authorized the posting of the Notice of Vacancy For Resident Circuit Judge of the Tenth Judicial Circuit, which can now be found on the Illinois Courts website, or this website,  Attorneys can apply by following the instructions listed therein.  The Supreme Court’s appointee will serve until the first Monday in December following the November 2020 election.
